Giggle Tooth Monster

He has 10 teeth now, so we've started to brush his teeth. He really likes the bristles on his teeth. Not such a fan of the toothpaste, but loves the bristles.

Halloween 2010

He didn't really have a great time with the whole trick or treating thing, it was a lot of costume on, costume off, costume on kind of a deal. Those egg cartons don't bend well for the carseat. :-)
He did enjoy seeing family and especially his grandmas and cousins. By the end of the night the egg cartons had started to come off and he was done with it. Glad Halloween is only 1 night long.
Hope everyone had a great night too

Ear Infection #2

So Josh took Jonah to the doc on Wed (10/27) and he has an ear infection... so after waiting 35 min in Walmart for them to fill the prescription they tell him that they don't have it. SO... it gets sent to GC to the pharmacy here and I get it for them to take home....

Get it home, make sure he's eaten something and try to give it to him.... PUKES ALL OVER, luckily we made it into the bathroom before it all came out. We give him a bath, get it all cleaned up and try again. AGAIN, PUKES all over himself in the tub.... which calls for a rinse again in a new bathtub of water and get dressed for bed.

We tried to "hide" it in milk, he'd drink it and shudder, then not touch it again.

So... he never really got any meds in him last night. I called the doc and she said to try to get it flavored. So I took it to work with me this morning and got some MORE flavoring added, b/c apparently it was already supposed to taste like cherries. We'll see how that goes down.

The doc also told us that our other options are to try Amoxicillen again (that was bad news last time we had an ear infection- upset stomach and MOODY child). Our last ditch effort is to give him anti-viral shots that will take care of the ear infection.... we don't want to go down that road!

Please pray that the matted eyes, coughing, runny nose, and puking up meds stop soon. He's a mess!

Thanks for your support!

Print the blog?

Yep, we are getting a "print" copy of our blog... I found a great site called http://blogger.sharedbook.com
I'm going to print the posts about Jonah...the most complete "baby book" I could ever make. :-)

It's free to "create" them, super easy, and fast. You can get them hard cover, soft cover, color pics or b/w pics.

Hope you check it out. :-)

Look what I can do....

As of October 17, 201o (14 1/2 months old) Jonah can

Say: horse, duck, up, out, hot, make motor sounds, make a horse sound, dog, dad, mom

Sign: cow, milk, more, horse (kind of)

Do: walk, run, climb almost anything, get in and out of the bathtub, climb on top of the coffee table to sit in the basket, give great hugs and sloppy kisses, blow kisses, wave goodbye

Favorites: giving hugs, climb and play on the lawnmower, drinking milk, horses, read/look at books, play with the computers, BE OUTSIDE!, Jewell the dog.

My little boy takes up over half of the bed length wise, knows what he wants (and usually gets it), loves others, likes to read, and is growing up WAY TOO FAST!!

Carving Pumpkins 2010

What a difference a year makes... last year he fit in the pumpkin....
This year he wants to pick up all the pumpkins..... Daddy did Jonah's name pumpkin this year.
The warmest day I've ever carved pumpkins.... for sure.
The only time I got him to touch the "guts" was when they were already in the bucket. He didn't want anything to do with the insides. Kept backing up and shaking his head and hands "no." Funny...
Our happy pumpkin family. :-)

Fall Yardwork

Jonah absolutely loves riding on the lawn mower with Daddy... whether it is getting a ride or doing yardwork.

He always "looks" grumpy, but here he's doing his "motor" noise while riding with dad.

If you can't find Jonah, if he's disappeared from where he's supposed to be 99% of the time you'll find him climbing on the lawnmower in the garage.
