Everyone thinks they know...

So this weekend we spent some time at a good friends house and had a great time. While we were there we got quite a few opinions about what gender our baby will be. The heart rate at the last appointment was 130, so many think it is going to be a boy. The dark line that runs the middle of my big belly goes above my bellybutton (or what is left of my belly button) and so they think it is a boy, and most of my movement is low, so they think it is a boy. Joshua is in HUGE favor of this news.... I'll be happy either way.

This past week at school Joshua had a baby shower with his staff. They surprised him with a lunch baby shower where they gave us many cute baby items and a stroller! We are very thankful to them for all of their support and good wishes. He had to "change a dirty diaper" on a doll. They had filled the diaper with chocolate pudding. :-) I wish I could have seen that! He says he did a good job. I will have a baby shower with my staff after the baby is born in the fall. I'll be the 6th and last new mom in our building so it will be a good wrap up celebration of all the fun we've had already this year.

Wednesday we head out for our "Babymoon" to Kentucky. We are actually starting our trip through St. Louis and then swinging down to Kentucky before heading home via Indianapolis area. It will be a good trip, the weather looks good and we'll get to see Annette, my aunt who lives down in Kentucky. It has been a long time since I've been down there to see her. College??

I'm including some video from our March Ultrasound and another coveted pictures of me and my belly! 31 weeks (June 1)

Enjoy the vids, and thanks for following us!

Wk 30 Appointment- Gluclose Test

So it all went fairly well. I got there early, went into the lab and drank my drink. It was lemon-lime flavor and for all of you who tried telling me it was awful, it wasn't so bad. :-) It really just tasted like a Sprite or 7up. Not thick at all.
I then went upstairs for my routine appointment. He was getting the heart rate and said that it was a little low so he wanted me to get on the ultrasound machine. So a little freaked out, I went in there and he had me lay there for 30 min before telling me all was fine, he was just checking other things. Ugh! Then I rushed down to the lab again to get my blood drawn and then back up to get my next appointment set up. (June 11)

He gave me a few pictures from the ultrasound, I'll try to scan them in later and he gave me a cd of images from our big ultrasound a couple appointments ago. I hope to get a better peak at the lower region. :-) See if there are any twigs and berries. :-)

Have a great day!

Gonna Be a Runner!!

I've been at State Track all weekend (Th-Sat) and the baby has been going nuts inside! I can tell it is just super excited to be an All American Track Star!
Or it may just be like, "hey ma, you're cramping my style, please lean back instead of forward."

Either way, it has been an active couple of days. Exciting with the girls doing so well, reassuring all the moms that yes, I am drinking enough fluids, and heading up and down the stairs to pee or refill the water bottle. :-)

I hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day weekend.
GO SPARTAN TRACK!!

Preggo Pics... :-(

Okay, here are some from Week 27 (pink tank).. I'm going to be at Week 30 on May 25. The ones of me in the gray shirt are from 29. Isn't my husband a great photographer! :-)

Tossing and Turning... getting comfortable

So, the days of me rolling over and falling back into slumber fairly quickly are gone. :-) Probably until I'm an empty nester. ;-) We have gotten to the stage where I roll over and then baby feels the need to roll, move, twist, etc to get comfortable too. It is getting harder and harder for me to get comfortable as well. My hips are starting to ache if left in one spot too long and I'm sure Josh is getting quite tired of me moving so much too. :-)
No worries, I'll be "good and prepared" for late night feedings, crying, or just mothering.

Many of you have been asking for pictures. I've been taking them, just reluctant to put them out there. I'll try tonight to get them off the camera and onto the blog.

There has been a lot of movement the last week or so, baby has started the pushing on the side, ribs, bladder routine. I sometimes push back and it only quits for a short time. Oh well. I've heard it gets worse... oh what a wonderful thing to look forward to!

Sounds like our trip to Kentucky is a go, I have my next doctor appointment on Tuesday morning (5/26) and I'm sure he'll let me leave. We are going on my birthday June 3 and we'll get back by the next Sat or so. Not far or long, just away! We hope to hit St. Louis on the way down, head to Lexington, Louisville, and then maybe back through Indianapolis. (or just back home) depending on how we feel at the end of the trip. We won't be able to be as adventurous as we'd like, but I think we'll still have fun.

Thanks for reading!

Flat Bellybutton!

It is just a matter of time before my nice innie bellybutton becomes a gross outie! :-(
(no offense to any of you who have a natural and beautiful outie)

I am getting bigger and bigger and according to the emails I get each week, I've seen nothing yet! (as many of you have told me already too!)

My hunger grows and shrinks like crazy. Today I felt like I could eat a house, but then after eating lunch and grabbing that 2nd milk, I felt like I was going to burst! :-) Oh well!

I'll try to get pictures on here soon, everyone keeps telling me I'll regret it if I don't take pictures at how big I am at each stage or so. Since next week is the 3rd Tri (where has the time gone!) I will surely start with pics then.

Thanks so much for thinking of me and our new family, I'll try to keep you posted on all the prego drama as it happens!
