How far along: 20 weeks
Total weight gain: total so far 3 1/2 lbs, although my appetite has increased.
Maternity clothes: yes, tops and bottoms, belly seems to pop out more and more every day.
Sleep: tossing and turning, getting a lot less sleep than normal. I've been having weird dreams and then I can't get back to sleep when I wake up from them.
Best moment this week: folding a load of Jonah's clothes and having undies to fold instead of diapers to take out to the trash. :-)
Food cravings: orange pop
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: being able to bend over without squatting and sleep
What I am looking forward to: ultrasound in a week
Milestones: baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana.
Next Appt: February 9 for the ultrasound. (4:30pm)
We've had a lot of movement some days and none the last few. I'm trying to not get to worried about it.

Week 18
How far along: 18 weeks
Total weight gain: total so far 3 1/2 lbs, although my appetite has increased.
Maternity clothes: yes, tops and bottoms
Sleep: tossing and turning, getting up to pee at least twice... being awake for a minimum of 45 min at a time. I've had a pretty bad cold this week so I've been up a lot coughing and blowing my nose... not an enjoyable moment for anyone in the room.
Best moment this week: Jonah had a full day of "dry" this week, hasn't had a completely dry day since, but still doing decently well.
Food cravings: no real cravings this week
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl) (kris b at school started a rumor that I was having triplets!)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: a full nights sleep
What I am looking forward to: getting over this cold, blah
Milestones: baby is the size of a bell pepper (5 1/2 inches) (babycenter page)
Next Appt: February 9 for the ultrasound. (4:30pm)

The Differences
Many people have been asking me lately if this pregnancy is different than the last one. So I thought I'd document all the "differences."
This time:
- not gaining as much as fast (17 wks only 3 1/2 1bs)
- had morning sickness until lunch everyday from wk 6-14
- this one took a lot longer to conceive. Jonah was pretty instant, this time it was 4 months
- new maternity clothes- I'm outside a lot more than with my first pregnancy- when teaching 4th grade I was in the building all day so I wore skirts 4 out of 5 days a week. Now I have to buy pants as I am never in the same building for the whole day and some days many.
-break outs regardless of what I do. I've tried changing cleansers, times of day I clean my face, etc. however regardless I've resorted to just eye makeup as if I wear a "full face" I regret it the next day as I have at least 2 more pimples to worry about getting rid of.
That's all I can think of for now, until later. :-)

Week 16 & 17 (oops)
So I forgot about last weeks post (well not really, just ran out of time). There wasn't really anything new to report so I figured it wasn't a huge priority. So here is what is up this week. :-)
How far along: 17 weeks
Total weight gain: at last appointment it was 4lbs. But today I was 1/2 lb down. (probably from the flu I had the day after Xmas)
Maternity clothes: I'm into materity pants full fledge and starting to get into more materinity tops. I like to buy "bigger" or longer tops so I don't have to wear maternity shirts. "regular shirts" are just so much cuter/fashion forward. I got some great deals at Gap this past weekend and I did get a few tops at Motherhood Maternity that look pretty normal. :-)
Sleep: tossing and turning, getting up to pee at least once
Best moment this week: ?? hearbeats are always great, but this weekend was nice. Some "me" time as I went shopping and Sunday was pretty much a "lounge" day.
*Jonah going 1 & 2 on the potty unprompted. :)
Food cravings: Wedding Cupcakes (but they are all gone) so nothing I guess.
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl) (jill thinks it's a boy)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: my normal clothes
What I am looking forward to: working on Jonah's potty training and getting out of buying diapers for a short time.
Milestones: baby is the size of a turnip (5 inches) (babycenter page)
Next Appt: February 9 for the ultrasound. (4:30pm)
