Our first REAL Tree :-)
We went out on a new family adventure today. We went to get our first REAL Christmas tree. We had a fake one until this summer when it got all moldy in the storage shed after the storm.
SO maybe this will be a new family tradition. We all had fun today.

10 Weeks
How far along: 10 weeks
Total weight gain: ?? haven't weighed myself again, our scale is all out of wack. Wouldn't have to due with a 2 yr old jumping on it would it? ;-)
Maternity clothes: some, trying to stay in as many pants as possible. The nice weather has let me keep out some of my skirts. :)
Sleep: I've been tossing and turning a lot.
Best moment this week: telling- friends in GC, GMG, VS, and elsewhere. Glad it is finally public.
Food cravings: I had to have a can of spaghettios this week, and I appear to be in love with grape Koolaid. (Sugar free of course)
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: being able to sleep part of the night on my stomach.
What I am looking forward to: not having to jimmy-rig my pants to be "comfortable."
Milestones: baby is the size of a kumquat (babycenter page)
Next Appt: Dec 9 3:30pm
Thank you to all of the friends and family who have sent congrats or well wishes. This is such a fun time in our lives and we are so happy we have such great people to share it with.

Just can't wait for snow. :-)
He wanted to sled so daddy took him sledding the best way he could today. Too bad they were in little spurts like that. Daddy needs to get in better shape. :-)
However, mommy never took her turn. She knows better.

Week 9 (again)
So... when I was tested at the doc during my yearly physical I was just barely pregnant. According to my blood work that was the very first day I would have ever shown positive on any kind of test. Urine pregnancy tests start to say positive when your hormone level is a 25, I was at 26 when they did my blood work that day so it showed up. :-)
Originally we thought it would be June 7 due date, but b/c of the "early prognosis" and ultrasound I had today Dr. Hintz put my due date to June 16. However, "you can always go up to 2 wks early or 2 wks late." (I think this is a cover his butt answer). :-) Just kidding Dr. Hintz!
The first look at our little bundle of joy: A little camera shy, he couldn't get any pics of her/his without the hands in front of the face. :-)
How far along: 9 weeks (yep, still)
*kind of disappointing to think I was a 1/4 of the way done, add another week. :-)
Total weight gain: ?? just had my first weigh in today.
Maternity clothes: starting to, trying to stay normal since not everyone knows yet.
Sleep:I get up a lot to pee and toss and turn a lot.
Best moment this week: hearing the heart beat and seeing the 3d images.AND my nausea ended. :-)
Food cravings: peanut butter (I eat it with everything- apples, celery, carrots, pb & j, etc)
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: being able to sleep part of the night on my stomach.
What I am looking forward to: seeing my co-workers faces when they find out AND more so, hearing from the GC folks when they find out.
THANKS Caryn M for helping with that surprise!
Milestones: baby is the size of a grape. (yep, still a grape)

Week 9
How far along: 9 weeks
Total weight gain: ??
Maternity clothes: starting to, trying to stay normal since not everyone knows yet.
Sleep:I get up a lot to pee and toss and turn a lot.
Best moment this week: telling friends at the funeral
Food cravings: chocolate, granola bars
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: my clothes, I'm "inbetween" a lot of my stuff.
What I am looking forward to: my 1st Doctor's appointment next week.
Milestones: baby is the size of a grape.
Morning sickness continues, I haven't actually thrown up, but it sure comes out the other end pretty quickly! I'm more tired now than before and my boobs are still sore. (fair warning for hugs) :-)
This past week we had to say Goodbye to Grandpa Edward Meyer. He had a stroke on October 24 and by Oct 29 he went to Heaven. It was sad to see him leave us, but it was more sad to watch him lay there like he was. Not the vivacious man we all knew and loved.
My belly has grown, not sure how something as small as a grape can take me out of 4 pairs of regular dress pants. :-) I'm wearing more skirts and have worn maternity pants a few times. My first appointment is next Thursday Nov 10. Looking forward to seeing Dr. Hintz and finding out more about our little one. We will be telling the staffs here after that point. Most of the family already knows and many friends found out these past few days at the funeral and such. It's getting harder to hide with growing belly and nausea like I've had.
