Ultrasound!! (3/25/09) (pics a bottom)

We had a great appointment today. It was Josh's first time going. He was impressed I knew my way around the hospital so well. :-) (men!)

We were early and Dr. Hintz was running late, so it wasn't until 3:30 until we got in to the room and then 5:10 when we got out. It was long, but exciting. The ultrasound produced some great images of our little one. SO CUTE! Dr. Hintz said the images were so good he was having a hard time quitting printing them!

We have a very active baby, lots of flips and turns made it hard to get the right shots at times, it also likes to cover it's face with it's arms... kind of like, hey, leave me alone. Dr. Hintz said everything looks great. All good sizes, development, and movement. It was fun seeing the little hands/fingers and feet. We got to see some great mouth movement as the baby appeared to be sucking or swallowing.

Our baby's nasal bone is of normal size and the back of the neck has normal thickness skin, ruling out downs syndrome. (not that we were worried, he just pointed that out). Although he didn't give us a heartbeat number, we did get to hear it several times. He checked each chamber of the heart and they all checked out good.

We got some pics, I've scanned them in and they are below. His cd burner was broken or he didn't know how to use it (a new machine) today, so I think he said we would get a dvd of images and vid?? (I hope) next time.

Thanks for checking in with us, we hope you are all doing well!
