Last night was a lot of fun! We were laying in bed watching a little CSI and there was a dance party in my tummy!
The baby was moving, kicking, and just everywhere. At one time I swear I felt a whole butt and leg slide across my hand as it laid on my lower stomach. :-) It was great!
Josh got to feel it move quite a bit too, we'll have an active baby/child for sure!
Have a great day!

Boy or Girl?? (wives tales)
So we took the luxury of taking some "wives tales" quizes tonight... the first one it was 47% Girl, 53% boy... Josh took it again, thinking my answers weren't good enough or truthful and he got 53% girl and 47% boy.
We took 2 more and came up with some pretty similar or dead even results. It was interesting to see what some of those old wives tales are. I carry low and the baby kicks to the Left so it is a boy... I have acne and have gained weight in my hips so it's a girl. The one I liked the most was the "mother's intuition" tale.... mothers who have had no previous knowledge of their child's gender before birth guessed 71% of the time correctly. So, IT'S A GIRL!! :-)
One other thing was that if the maternal grandmother has gray hair it is a boy, BUT
if the maternal grandmother DOES NOT have gray hair - natural OR DYED... it is a GIRL! Sorry ma, your secret is out! :-) You look great!
I got a lot of clothes today at some garage sales. I mainly got yellows, greens, and oranges... but I did get at least one blue outfit and a few pink ones too. :-) There were SO many cute baby girl clothes on the garage sales, but of course, we have no idea what we are having. Josh even admitted today that they were pretty cute and he wished we could get some of them. :-)
(she is going to be SO spoiled)
So, believe what you want.... it's all up in the air!

April 23rd Appointment
So, it was another short and sweet appointment. I went in and waiting for about 10 min, got weighed (I've only gained 18 lbs)- thus far- and then waited some more for the doctor.
My vitals- 102/60, gained 18 lbs thus far, and he didn't tell me my measurement.
Baby- 140 hr and not much else. :-)
He was in the room for less than 5 minutes, I didn't have any questions and he didn't have a whole lot to share. Oh well...
Next month I have my gluclose test, I will have to fast from Midnight on and then be at the lab by 9:00 and have my appointment at 9:30 with Dr. Hintz and then back to the lab again to get my blood drawn. I have to admit I'm semi nervous about the diabetes thing, so many people in my family have it or had it when they were pregnant. It could be a long 3 months to go if that happens.
The baby is kicking quite a bit these days, the girls on the track team still haven't felt it kick. They are pretty bummed, I guess it just isn't a kicker at track time. Maybe tonight, I should be sittting more at the meet in Charles City.
I was able to find some cool clothing for summer months at Target yesterday. I also added a few more things to my registry. I noticed yesterday that most of the things on my registry are "online only" I'll look into that and get some things changed or actually take some time at the store and scan in things. :-)
THE REGISTRY THAT HAS THE BREAST PUMP IS THE CORRECT REGISTRY!!!! The other one is a mess up and I can't seem to get rid of it.
If you want to find out more about "baby" at this stage visit this site:

Next Monday (4/27/09) I'll be 26 wks. So you can track it accordingly.
Have a good week and enjoy the weather!

Heartburn more in control... appointment the 23rd
So I've got a pretty good handle on what is giving me heartburn and avoiding those things like the plague. I've also upped the anti on the water intake and have started a daily regamine of Tums (or so it seems).
My next appointment is the 23rd (tomorrow) and I called to ask if there was anything special I needed to worry about (as well as to ask what the heck to do about this heartburn) they said my glucose test wasn't until next month. So, it should be a simple weight, heartrate, pee and leave. :-)
More time for SHOPPING!! Whoo Hoo!!!
I'll update again after Thursday!

Holy Heartburn!!
For never, ever having heartburn in my life up until pregnancy it feels like the good Lord is making up for the past 25 years of my life. :-P
It varies with foods and drinks on a daily basis and never seems to be cured by the same thing twice. I've not gotten a lot of sleep the last few times it has attacked at night, especially last night when it didn't hit me until 9:30ish. Every hour I was up drinking more water, trying to get comfy in a sit up position, or peeing b/c of all the water I drank! I'm pooped today!
I've tried watching what I eat (but it changes daily), drinking more water on a consistent basis (I'm up to 2-3 liters a day now), and milk... the water trick has been the most helpful, but not today. I finally went to buy some Tums. Hopefully they'll take the edge off.
If you have any suggestions for me please leave a comment on this page or if it doesn't work... shoot me an email or phone call. Thanks to those who have already offered assistance.
THANKS!!

Mrs. Meyer... You've grown!!
So it wasn't such a great return from break today. So many people to tell me how much bigger I've gotten!
One even said, "Oh, Mrs. Meyer you got PREGNANT over break!"
There has been a lot more movement in the last weekend or so. I've had some more "stretching pains" which goes right along with their comments I guess. Josh got to feel some more this morning. I was quite the punching bag this morning. :-)
We had track pictures today, I hope my gut doesn't show. :-)

Crib
I found the crib I want... ordered it today.

Well it wasn't my first choice, but still a close second. Still safe and cute.
It will be a cider color (kind of like cherry) to match the dresser that we already own.
Any thoughts? I can still cancel! ;-)
