How far along: 15 weeks
Total weight gain: at last appointment it was 4lbs. (I think a lot more after the Christmas Season!)
Maternity clothes: I'm pretty much out of the regular pants and into maternity pants. Wish my pants were longer. :-( I'm starting to run out of normal tops, but am a little reluctant to get into maternity tops. I kind of like that I don't really "look" obviously pregnant yet.
Sleep: tossing and turning, getting up to pee at least once
Best moment this week: Christmas Eve service with my boys. Jonah being so great in church.
Food cravings: no major cravings, just like food. :-)
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl) (Dana thinks it's a boy)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: my jeans
What I am looking forward to: the rest of break and Holly and Jesse's wedding Saturday!
Milestones: baby is the size of an apple (4 inches crown to rump) (babycenter page)
Next Appt: January 9
Ultrasound: February 9
This week I had the flu (Monday & Tuesday). I missed the Oberheu Christmas b/c of it and a day of work with the installers. A night and half day in bed, toast, and 7 up have helped me get back on my feet. Jonah and Josh went back to Cville for some boy time and so it was really nice to get to relax and recoup without having to worry about them.
A busy rest of the work week and I'll be ready to bring in the New Year with Jesse & Holly as they join as one Saturday!

Christmas 2011
Christmas 2011 has been a great one so far. We've started many new traditions this year as we work into life as a family of 4. Making new traditions has meant giving up or tweaking some old family traditions on both sides of the family, but everyone has been pretty understanding.
New Traditions:
1) Getting a real tree as a family. Hunting it down on a tree farm, cutting it down, and hauling it to the truck.
2) Christmas Eve service at Orchard Hill. We had our pick from the 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, or 11pm services. We chose the 3pm service and to sleep in our own beds. This meant not attending the Petersen Christmas or the Grace Lutheran candlelight service, but it was a great night and Jonah was SO good in church. He was all dressed up and woke up from a nap to attend. We had great music, great video, candles and Silent Night. It wasn't in German, but it was still very nice.
3) Santa comes to our house Christmas Eve before going to other families houses. This helps us fit in with the rest of our family Christmas gatherings. It worked really well for Jonah's age to go to the 3pm, an hr drive home and it was dark when we got there. He was plenty ready for Santa to arrive and jumped right into opening presents as soon as we got home. He had plenty of time to play, eat, and play some more before going to bed. As you can see in the pictures, the new horse was his favorite of all the gifts from Santa or mom and dad.
4) Christmas Day now means travel back north for both sides the next two days instead of bouncing back and forth throughout the 3 days. One less night away from home and more time with family when we are there. We'll go to the Meyer side for Christmas Day- Gma and Gpa's for lunch and Great Gma's for supper. Then we'll go to Gma & Gpa Petersen's to sleep and get up to open presents there too. Great Gma & Gpa Oberheu's on Monday as well then HOME!.
Christmas 2011 Favorite Moments so far:
Mommy:
- Making goodies for the family get togethers with Jonah and Joshua.
- Jonah doing such a great job in church.
- Jonah reaching for our hands when Pastor Dave said "Let us pray." (2x)
- Jonah's excitement over the candles and music at church tonight.
- Jonah's look of GLEE when we took him the the "new horse" present.
Daddy:
- Seeing Jonah light up when he saw the horse.
- Finding a present from Mr. Wallace on our front step for mowing his lawn this year.
Jonah:
- Realizing that Santa had been there and he had presents to open.
- Seeing his new horse and playing with it.

14 Weeks
How far along: 14 weeks
Total weight gain: at last appointment it was 4lbs. (I think a lot more after the Kraft Xmas today!)
Maternity clothes: stil mostly my own tops. I've moved completely away from my regular dress pants and am in "bigger" pants and some maternity pants.
Sleep: tossing and turning, getting up to pee at least once
Best moment this week: hearing the heart beat again last Monday. :-)
Food cravings: mostly junk. Kelsy's chip dip today was AMAZING!
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl) (jill thinks it's a boy)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: my jeans
What I am looking forward to: Christmas Break and working on Jonah's potty training.
Milestones: baby is the size of a lemon (3 1/2 inches) (babycenter page)
Next Appt: January 9
Ultrasound: February 9
We've been getting more and more on Jonah on how the baby is going to need his diapers. He's going to have to give them up soon. He always says NO so we'll see how the Christmas Break crash course goes.
Jonah got to see Baby Aubry today, he definitely liked her, but we kept him away b/c he has a snotty cold and we didn't want her to get it.
He loves to look at my belly, give it a pat and tell daddy that mommy has a baby in there.
Looking forward to every week that comes along. I'm sure I'll continue to get bigger and more tired, so can't stop that. :-)
Until next week!

2nd OB appointment Dec 12
Weight gained: 4lbs
My Bp: 108/90
Baby heart rate:152 (which he said was very normal) *
Overall visit:
It was a very short visit. I basically drove 2 hrs for 15 minutes. I'm not going to complain too much, I could have been waiting forever as he was down in the OB wing checking on a mother who was about to deliver. He came in to my room in scrubs and cap. I'm guessing he ran straight back down there after poking my belly a few times and listening to the heart rate for about 30 seconds. :-)
My next appointment is January 9 and then our big ultrasound is scheduled for the 9th of February.
*I know all you "boy" thinkers out there are excited as it's a lower rate than the 60s. :-) Jonah's was in the 60s a lot too remember. :-)
Just so everyone that thinks it's also dependent on how hard it is to pick out the name of the baby, we have both names picked out and pretty close to finalized. So we can't say it was harder to find a girl or a boy's name this time. :-) (Don't ask, we're not telling. :-P )
Until next week!

Week 13
How far along: 13 weeks
Total weight gain: ?? haven't weighed myself again. My belly is starting to pop out and it's getting harder to hide it.
Maternity clothes: mostly my own clothes. A few pairs more pairs of maternity pants as my regular dress pants are getting uncomfortable. Lots of long shirts to hide my "unbuttoned" pants. :-)
Sleep: tossing and turning, getting up to pee at least once
Best moment this week: getting to sleep in on Sunday, Josh got up before Jonah and I was the last to rise at 7:45. :-)
Food cravings: pop, either orange or root beer. (glad I'm at school most of the day, otherwise it would be a lot more tempting to have another.)
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl) (jill thinks it's a boy)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: being able to wake up and not have to rush for something to eat.
What I am looking forward to: my appointment tomorrow!
Milestones: baby is the size of a medium shrimp (3 inches) (babycenter page)
Next Appt: Dec 12 3:20pm (tomorrow!)
Jonah is figuring more and more out, when asked where the baby is he will pat my belly. Then he'll pat his belly too and say that is where his belly is too.
We've started to move him from a "sippy cup" to a regular cup, he's not liking it.
We've also started to ask him when he's going to give his diapers to the baby. He often times hangs his head and says "no" in a disappointed whiny voice.
We are looking forward to the holidays. I started sorting through the presents today, organizing for future wrapping. :-)
I'll post about my appointment tomorrow after my board meeting. :-)

Week 12
How far along: 12 weeks
Total weight gain: ?? haven't weighed myself again. My belly is starting to pop out and it's getting harder to hid it.
Maternity clothes: mostly my own clothes. A few pairs of maternity pants when my others are in the wash.
Sleep: I've been tossing and turning a lot. Depends on the night.
Best moment this week: snuggling with Jonah on our "day off."
Food cravings: speghetios and sweets
Gender: ??? (hoping for a girl) (rose thinks it's a boy)
Labor signs: none yet
What I miss: being able to wake up and not have to rush for something to eat.
What I am looking forward to: not having to jimmy-rig my pants to be "comfortable."
Milestones: baby is the size of a lime (babycenter page)
Next Appt: Dec 12 3:20pm
We had a lot of fun with the ladies on Deer Hunting weekend. It was a short night, but glad we had 2 rooms (thanks Darla and girls!) Thinking ahead, not sure how it's going to work next year with a baby and Jonah. 6 months should give us some time to figure it out, hopefully. :-)
I know Jonah had fun in the pool even though he wasn't real excited about getting "wet" even though he wanted to get in the "wada."
Hopefully we can both get back in a good sleeping routine before tomorrow. :-)

Move over Danny, Go June!!
We were home for the day since Jonah's daycare family was sick. He got to go to school with mommy twice and had a great time. While we were home for part of the afternoon I was working on emails and purchase orders. He just decided he was going to be "June" for the day.
